==== Education & Training ==== ---- The community should be a centre of knowledge transfer and learning for its members. Skills that are vital for the community's day to day functioning must be proliferated amongst its members. The children of the community must have access to proficient teachers familiar with the Australian curriculum, but also well versed in alternative methods of education that do not fall into the traps that mainstream schools suffer. Methodologies such as Montessori, Steiner and others that have been proven to be effective in increasing educational outcomes should be adopted, where they do not contravene the values and principles of the community - the underlying belief being that education should be adapted to suit each child, not vice versa. Community members who have specialist skills should endeavour to run workshops and training sessions to upskill other members of the community. All community members should make efforts to acquire new skills and knowledge from outside the community that can be beneficial to the community. Special focus should be given to skills & knowledge in the areas of landcare, food preserving, wild food identification, bushcraft, basic survival skills, house building etc.
